The charming décor of the lodge reminded me of my own home, with its cozy furnishings and warm colors. The hotel's general areas were exceptionally clean and well-maintained, making it easy for me to navigate as a senior. I appreciated the thoughtful touches, like the handrails in the bathroom and the comfortable seating in the communal areas, which made it accessible for older guests like myself.
It would have been even more enjoyable if there had been a dedicated assistance line for older guests, where we could easily reach out to the staff when needed. The children of the staff were friendly and helpful, but having a direct line or assistance available specifically for seniors would have been beneficial for a better vacation experience.

The luxury holiday home, surrounded by a stunning 18-hole golf course and a serene fishing lake, provided a peaceful and picturesque setting for our family. The kids loved exploring the David Bellamy conservation Gold award nature trail, spotting various species of birds and wildlife in the wildflower meadow. The village itself had everything we needed, with three charming churches, three cozy pubs, a well-stocked Co-op supermarket, and a convenient post office. Additionally, the location was ideal, with five great golf courses within a short 20-minute drive. We can't wait to visit again, perhaps during the summer when the weather is even more inviting.
My wife says that it would have been great if there was a children's play area in the beer garden at The Griffin.
